(Part of the story: Syria, Hell on Earth). Smoke billows over shelled and destroyed buildings in Saif al Dawle district, Aleppo, Syria, 02 October 2012. The Syrian Army has continued its shelling in the city, and has brought in reinforcements to try to put an end to the rebels' resistance.
